To further masculinize the body beyond FTM Top Surgery, Dr. Timothy Alexander offers his trans male patients Body Masculinization (liposuction.) Dr. Alexander can precisely remove fat from various parts of the body and help tone an individual’s physique to their transition goals.
To help eliminate feminine curves, Dr. Alexander uses Liposuction. Liposuction is safe, common procedure that removes fat from desired locations of the body, such as hips and buttocks. Liposuction is performed under general anesthesia.
Liposuction permanently removes fat cells from various areas of the body. A hollow tube (cannula) is inserted through a small incision and vacuum is applied to suction out fat.
While Body Masculinization isn’t designed to be a substitute for weight loss, exercise or a healthy diet, these procedures can be helpful to the trans man who is in good health but has areas of fat that haven’t responded to diet and exercise.
